Board of Directors – Call for Nomination

The North Muskoka NPLC is currently looking for interested individuals with a professional background or governance experience in the following areas:

  • Finance
  • Legal (expertise in the non-profit sector)
  • Health equity and community engagement
  • Patient advocacy

Board members are responsible for providing strategic direction and governance leadership with a focus on facilitating improvement in client health and wellness.  Time commitment is approximately 2 hours monthly with a two-year term.

Registered Dietitian – Part Time (Contract)

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care for patients and their families through education, guidance, and counseling. The RD supports the interdisciplinary team, providing evidence-based, client-centered care through the lifespan. Working with community partners, the RD develops, implements and evaluates programs to improve health and wellness of targeted populations. The ideal candidate will be a positive team player who thrives in a dynamic team environment.

Duties:

– Provide individual and group counseling on nutrition and healthy eating habits
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
– Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition
– Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field
– Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
– Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
– Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and guidelines
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
